Schnäppchencenter Neukölln
A spatial and programmatic study rethinking public access and urban reuse within city centers.
This project investigates the latent potential of obsolete department store typologies. By strategically opening up and reprogramming these underutilized commercial structures, it proposes a framework for transforming formerly exclusive interior spaces into accessible, collective environments.
Through critical spatial interventions and speculative imagery, Schnäppchencenter addresses questions of urban density, ownership, and future adaptability. Rather than offering fixed outcomes, the project serves as a testing ground for alternative scenarios of public life in post-commercial city cores.
